Allow Toilet Brush to Dry
Toilet brushes sit in their own icky water for days or weeks at a time. This water accumulates at the bottom of the toilet brush holder when you put the brush back wet. The best way to avoid a problem is to allow the toilet bowl brush to dry before putting it away.
Looking for a good spot to set the brush while it dries? Put the brush inside the toilet bowl, then shut the lid on the brush handle. The wet end of the brush will sit in mid-air in the bowl, and then will drip dry into the toilet bowl.
Pour a Baking Soda into Your Toilet Bowl
Baking soda is slightly abrasive. It can also be used as a cleaning product! To keep your toilet bowl cleaner, sprinkle a little baking soda into your toilet bowl every day, then flush. This lengthens the period of time between cleanings and helps keep your toilet fresh and clean.
Clean Your Shower Walls Nightly
After taking a shower, use a squeegee to wipe down the inside of your shower walls. This prevents minerals and hard water stains from building up on your shower walls.
Scrub Grout Around the Bathroom with Baking Soda
Did we mention baking soda is abrasive? Bet we did! This makes baking soda the perfect material for cleaning the dirty grout on your bathroom walls. Simply wet your shower, sprinkle the grout with baking soda, and let it sit for 10 minutes. When it’s done sitting, scrub the grout with a toothbrush. Rinse, and you’re done!
Minimize Trash Odor with Baking Soda
Sprinkle baking soda into your trash every day. The baking soda will absorb the smells coming from your trash and will help keep your bathroom smelling wonderful.
