I was swept away by SWEPT AWAY. My house desperately needed a deep cleaning so I could bring my husband home from a nursing facility. I was embarrassed by our years of neglect. SWEPT AWAY staff were kind, generous, helpful and went right to work. Within a day the spaces I needed cleaned looked wonderful. Walls were washed. Floors were scrubbed. One of the cleaners asked me if I was pleased with the cabinet cleaning. Impressed? I was astonished, delighted, they looked like new. They even installed the new toilet seat I had purchased and swept the front steps. Thank you SWEPT AWAY for your crew: they worked hard, never made me feel judged, and gave me much relief. I decided to get my home cleaned just before the holidays because every year that I do it, it takes up so much of my time and energy....I am just spent. I requested an estimate last week from their website and needed to get my house cleaned and sanitized due to my husbands chemo. They got back with me immediately and gave me a reasonable price. They had a cancellation and was able to get me in within a week. Best if all were the fantastic cleaners I had. They did the best job and cleaned my house better than it has been in years.. and I did have a service previously. These girls deserve 10 stars. 💕 I have such peace of mind now. I was totally swept away! The four young women worked very hard and left the place sparkling. I was only charged for three workers, because one was a trainee, and I believe they stayed beyond the agreed upon time (I'm a little unclear on this, because I went to work and my husband was vague about the details). I asked them to apply Liquid Gold to the wood floor molding if they had time, and it looks to me like they polished a great deal of the woodwork! My only concern before I left was that they were moving along very fast, and I heard a glass bowl clatter; I told Lashaun that I preferred they took their time and were more careful with the artwork, and happily I haven't found any broken items. This was a one-time clean, and I am definitely interested in having them back, but will need to settle on a price that we can afford for regular service. - 9/19/2016

One caveat: On cleaning day, they are unable to tell you in advance when they will arrive. This is the first time I've ever had housecleaning on a particular day when I have no idea what time the housecleaner(s) will arrive. However, I left a note asking them to call my cell when they were ready to leave & they did. This is such an excellent service I'm more than happy to oblige not knowing in advance when they will arrive. I stayed at home for the first cleaning as I always do with any new service I've employed. However, having met with the owner to find out what they offer, I did not hesitate to give the team leader a key to my building & apartment. I am very careful about this so my husband is the only other person who has a key besides me and the building management. I hope I will be using Swept Away Housecleaning every other week for many years to come. I'm 70 so can no longer do the tough cleaning jobs. On alternate weeks, I sweep & dust + do any other "extras" myself. On "cleaning day," I go to the zoo, or shop a bit or take a nice long walk in this beautiful city. I take myself out to a swank restaurant for lunch & pick up something easy to prepare for dinner. Gina started her business after many years of working for a large franchise cleaning operation. She's had her own business for enough time to have built up a good clientele. She was happy to give me three referrals of current customers. One in particular was quite honest in giving me a good referral but also being very honest about any difficulties experienced. The other two had only positive things to say, one of whom told me Swept Away cleaned his personal business, his home & his mother's home. Now that's a good referral! - 5/25/2016

Steffi, our regular team leader, and her team cleaned the exteriors of all the cabinets which hadn't been cleaned in years and the fronts look like new! They even used my preferred wood cleaner without being told to do so. We had a large amount of glass and ceramics in the pantry so it took the three of them awhile to empty it and then they did a great job of cleaning the wood interior and glass shelves and doors. We have two stainless steel pot racks which they cleaned; cleaning the interior stainless wire racking and polishing the stainless racks. Those looked like new when they finished. They also cleaned to track lighting in the pantry and pendant lights in the bath. They cleaned the exterior and interior of all the kitchen appliances...better than I do by far. Then washed all the woodwork in the house which is an unusually large amount for a house this size including door and window frames, floor trim which is nine inches high and the staircase including railing, spindles and wooden base panels. This is a 1906 home so it has a lot of wood detailing. They were even able to get rid of most of the 'alligatoring' on the handrails. Gina was with them and she was testing new tools she acquired to clean tile and grout in the master bath. It took awhile because the tile/grout had not had a deep cleaning in over 10 years but it came out looking like new and is ready to be sealed again. Thanks! LaShaun, Tania and Shaunte came to clean the living room and dining room, but they were so quick that they also cleaned the kitchen, bathroom and hall. They did not have to be asked to do the additional rooms. They just kept cleaning! They were friendly and willing to do whatever I wanted. They brought ALL their own equipment and cleaning supplies, which were also clean and sanitary. We have had the crew at swept away clean the house bi weekly now since last spring. It has gone very well and we will continue to use their services. It is such a nice feeling to come home to a clean house. The crew is not necessarily always the same but the service has always been very good. Came in and really did a great job on the work that they finished. we have kids, and bathrooms were dirty I am sure. for the time spent I would have thought they could have gotten more done, but I guess with the number of rooms and kids, it was just not enough time. the women who came out were very thorough and diligent - bathrooms have never been better I had to have them come out a 2nd time to complete the work. Gina was very personable and friendly during our initial meeting. She addressed all of my questions professionally and completely. I felt as if she were honest and trustworthy. My wife was home the first time when the crew arrived Nancy,Jeannie and Christina. She showed them how to work the front door lock (digital)so they knew how to lock up and get back in next time. My wife went out of her way to text me when she arrived home to say how impressed she was with the cleaning the girls had completed. That in itself was a feather in my cap if you know what I mean since it was I whom chose swept away. I'm glad I did because the girls came back for the second visit and did a fantastic job again. This was the first time I have used their services. They arrived on time and even called the day before the appointment. Two young women, Lisa and Emily, came for the job and they were great. They were very nice and professional. I had a few special requests and I was pleased with the work that they did. They spent about three hours. It was spectacular! Zaffi, Carrie and Shanay came to clean my house the day before my daughter's birthday party. Gina was amazing at setting up my appointment with only a 2 day notice! I cleaned up most of the clutter before they got there because I knew that they had their work cut out for them! They even offered to help me finish moving some things before they got started. They thoroughly cleaned each room, even those I didn't think they could clean much in, looked amazing! They straightened up my daughter's room as a special surprise for her because of her party and her birthday! Carrie and Latanya from Swept Away came over for a four hour cleaning service. I told them the big focus was on the floors and bathrooms. These two ladies went above and beyond my expectations. Not only were the floors and bathrooms upstairs and downstairs looking fantastic, but they did so much more than what I asked of them. There wasn't a place in the house they didn't touch with their cleaning wand. I could probably write a novel about how every single room (especially kitchen) and item in the room looks brand-new, but long story short, these two ladies did an amazing job! What was always great, was how they were so polite and playful with my 6-year-old son. Both Carrie and Latanya had phenomenal personalities and the highest professionalism. Carrie and Shanay came to help clean my house as I was getting ready for a house full of people for my son's birthday party. While I did laundry and clutter pick up, they did all the things I always want to get done that as a working Mom I never get to. They cleaned out my oven, dusted ceiling fan blades, washed all the woodwork, crown moldings in the house, detail scrubbed and dusted each room. With their two extra set of hands for 4 hours plus mine , my entire house was PERFECT by the time they left. They were both friendly and courteous, and very careful with my things. This experience has been a million times better than I could have hoped for. I feel like I'm always fighting doctors, administrators, schools, bills, McDonald's!...everything to get things done right. It never seems to end. We started at the top of Angie's highest rated housecleaning list and NO ONE called us back. 5 companies. All voicemail. Swept Away actually has a live person answering the phone. He's great. One time I left a message and was called immediately back. Gina, the manager/owner, was the one to come to our house and give us the estimate. She was great. I liked her immediately from the start. And she was exactly on time. The quote was reasonable, very well worth it, and she left thanking me and promising me excellent service. She wrote her cell number on her card and encouraged me to call anytime. A+ Miss Shanay has been here twice. I believe Sarah was with her the first time and Carrie today. I really can't express how thankful I am for them. They are passionate and proud of the work they do and it shows. Gleamingly 🙂 A million A+s to Carrie and Miss Shanay! They answered our call promptly and their representative came out and talked to us so we were impressed and after the initial contact with them that we felt we would give them a try and also their company is located close to us. We have given them the key yet but we have had the same two girls out here for the first two visits and I speculate we will get comfortable enough with them to give them the key. They bring all their supplies and equipment. They are here between two or three hours. Our house is not easy to clean;they come out look at your house, ask you what you want done and determine the price is based on that. - 12/06/2013
